Society for the Safety of the Insane and Destitute (SO SAID) has emerged winner of the fourth edition of the PG-sponsored Supermom reality show. (winner pictured above)
The orphanage which was founded by Mrs. Concern Felicia R.D Martins edged out finalists; Children of Promise orphanage (CHIPROM) founded by Pastor Oladapo Idowu and Vigilant Orphanage by Mrs. Maria Iriowen Osawemen to win the grand prize of N2m cash. SO-SAID was
introduced into the reality show in the 8th
episode where Mrs. Concern R.D
Martins narrated how rough and tough the journey was when she started.
“In the
beginning, I was going about the streets with camera crew and those who
can help in carrying the insane for me, this made my husband chased me
out of the
house because he felt I was embarrassing the family even my first son
hit me on
the face and I slept on the street for eight months when I started the
project.”
Mrs. Concern R.D Martins, recalled times she shed
tears, “When I see some schools discriminating against my kids, telling
the kids not to come to school because they are from So- Said (motherless
babies’ home) I shed tears’.
